Seeing is NOW. ONLY NOW can there be Seeing, Knowing, BEING. This NOW is what-we-ARE. Space-like, NOW looks to the mind like nothing. Empty. Like a sky with no content. That can disturb the mind, the sense of being a "me", in large measure! Because once the idea of a "me" has arisen (around the age of 2-1/2, usually) then two things happen: There is NOT me or other, which engenders fears, a sense of insecurity and vulnerability, and a sense of being "located" i.e. being separated by space and time from other objects which may bring pleasure or pain. Then the seeking to attain pleasure and avoid pain begins and continues until there is (in rare cases) a questioning, such as, "is this all there is?"
The search for pleasure is then seen as bringing it's inevitable opposite, pain! In this dualism there appears to be enormous suffering until it is clearly pointed out that no matter what appears, it all appears to an Unchanging Seeing and Knowing, which Seeing and Knowing is Open and Obvious and always only NOW. As the seeing is clear the clouds of self doubt, insecurity and vulnerability clear away and the open One-Source, the Singularity that embraces and loves BOTH duality AND Non-duality, is made clear by no one for no one. Simple and plain, ordinary Being is that what IS. Call it by any name, knowing that no name is IT. That Eternal Isness is Seeing NOW, Looking NOW, Knowing NOW. This is what YOU ARE. That which is beyond both dualism and oneness; outside and inside, beyond BOTH Nothing AND Everything.
Confused? Good. Paradoxical? Hell YES! Stay put IN and AS that. As the ancient Zen Masters repeated, Confusion and Paradox are the fierce guardians at the Gateless Gate to Paradise. Let them BE and they will let YOU be, as You are, open, clear and awake ... just NOW. The Seeing is Now. And YOU ARE this Seeing. KISS. (Keep it simple seekers!)
